One year on in this Jack Sheffield sequel, and life in the Yorkshire village is still as it ever was, stuck in its traditional ways but with exciting events unfolding. The children of Ragley School constantly cause hilarity with their exceptional writing and witty comments which afford Jack many laughs. Each chapter describes one of those village events which either warms the heart or has the reader in fits of laughter. Unlike the novel before, Mister Teacher is full of blossoming, and yet some perplexing, romances between those unlikely but deserving people. During Jack's years at Ragley he encounters some interesting characters and specifically in his second year, Jack also meets with exceptional children who are truly inspiring to all those people who come into contact with them.
